Our Young Companies are designed for committed young performers with a strong ambition to develop their stage craft at an advanced level, particularly those considering drama school training or a future career within the performing arts industry. 

Members will perform in some of the most trailblazing, thought-provoking, and inspiring plays and musicals seen on Broadway and the West End, many of which explore complex personal and social themes that require the actors to have maturity, openness, inclusivity, and a responsible approach to performance. 

Rehearsals are supportive, safe, creatively rewarding, and highly collaborative, while also demanding focus, dedication, and commitment, reflecting DNYT’s strong reputation for producing ambitious, high-quality work. 

With professional-standard training and high production values, our Musical Theatre and Acting pathways offer an exceptional environment for those considering a future in the performing arts, while remaining equally valuable for building confidence and transferable life skills.

To join our DNYT Young Company for either Acting and or Musicals, members will need to take part in our Workshop Day on Friday 24th July where they will also need to audition. We can also accept self-tape submissions.

Please note, you may select a specific pathway to audition - i.e. acting or musical theatre - but the team on the day will recommend the most suitable pathway for you as a performer. As the Young Companies are audition only, it may be that the most suitable group for you in the DNYT Performance - our non-audition pathway for academic years 9+.
