After Discarded Nut Theatre Co.’s five-star production of Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein (“would rival anything put on at the National”) - starring Edmund Morris, Ben Lynn, Amy Lubach, Felix Price, Joshua MacGregor, Lotte Bennett and George Oldroyd - Discarded Nut Theatre Co. returns to the stage in March 2026 with their production of Othello. Directed by Discarded Nut’s Artistic Director Noël Jones, produced by Executive Director Harriet Morris and scored by DNTCo. resident composer William Pickering, Othello will run from Tuesday 10th to Saturday 21st March 2026 at The Nutshell Winchester.
The cast includes Ashley Mejri (National Theatre) as Othello, Ben Lynn (RADA, The Donmar Warehouse, The Globe, DNTCo.) as Iago, Lottie Burns (Leeds Conservatoire, Leeds Playhouse) as Desdemona, Sam Claridge (Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, Dukes Theatre Company) as Cassio, Felix Price (RCSSD, Buxton Opera House, DNYT Alumni) as Roderigo, Liv Davies (Mountview, EYT Alumni) as Emilia and Jim Tracey (Italia Conti) as Brabantio. This production also sees the return of Ben Lynn and Felix Price who both starred in DNTCo.’c 2025 production of Frankenstein.

But in promoting another to be his trusted lieutenant, Othello has unknowingly created a deadly enemy - his overlooked, underestimated, and quietly venomous advisor, the duplicitous Iago. What follows is a furious unravelling of trust, love, and identity in a web of betrayal, manipulation and revenge.
