FRANKENSTEIN CAST ANNOUNCEMENT

FRANKENSTEIN

Full casting is announced for Frankenstein from Winchester theatre company of acclaimed Hamlet (2017).

Adapted for the stage by Discarded Nut’s Artistic Director Noël Jones and writer and journalist Douglas Revolta, Frankenstein will run from Wednesday 12th March to Saturday 22nd March 2025 at The Nutshell Winchester.

Cast includes Ben Lynn (RADA, The Donmar Warehouse, The Globe) as Victor Frankenstein, Edmund Morris (five star sold out run at Edinburgh with The Grim, Canal Cafe Theatre) as The Monster, Amy Lubach (Théâtre Municipal de Fontainebleau, Etcetera Theatre) as Elizabeth and Felix Price (Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, Buxton Opera House) as Ernest. Local Winchester actors Lotte Bennett (Bridewell Theatre London, Guildford Shakespeare Company) as Justine / The Bride and Joshua MacGregor (Rose Bruford College of Theatre and Performance) as Walton / DeLacey have also been cast in this production along with child actor George Oldroyd who will be performing in his first professional production as William.

After Discarded Nut Theatre Co.’s last successful tour of William Shakespeare’s Hamlet starring Edmund Morris (‘mesmerising, laugh-out-loud funny and utterly terrifying’), Discarded Nut Theatre Co. returns to the stage in March with their production of Frankenstein.

Frankenstein tells the story of a young scientist obsessed with creating life. Driven by ambition, Victor Frankenstein assembles a creature from body parts and brings it to life, only to be horrified by its monstrous appearance. Rejected by society and its creator, the creature seeks revenge, leading to a heartbreaking series of devastating events.
