Parmley & The Metalsmith: Making sense of Humanity
A collaborative exhibition between local creatives: a contemporary jeweller and a fine artist working on themes of humanity.
‘Making Sense of Humanity’ is an exhibition showcasing the lens through which they see the world - the things that they hold dear, the things they desperately wish to change, the things that pique their curiosity and feed their creativity.
Since 2022, Rosie and Emily have been putting together an exhibition each year, growing this moveable feast of multi-disciplinary art together, finding new ways to display their work, and communicate their concepts. They work individually and come together for these projects.
The exhibition exists as a mixed media collage of their work, carefully curating a blend of three disciplines: paint, metal and ceramic. They share contemporary styles, a passion for social/humanitarian values and a use of figures. Each piece is handcrafted: made with a conscience, with care.
Rosie is a fine artist; Emily is a contemporary jeweller. The two met and work together at The Colour Factory Studios in Winchester.
The exhibition will be open from 10am-4pm each day.
