Kicking off the New Year we welcome back the return of our ever popular stand-up comedy club.

February funnies are Michelle Shaughnessy, Tadiwa Mahlunge, Matt Price and all held together by your host and MC Chris Brooker!

Do note that line ups are subject to change.

Originally from Toronto, Michelle Shaughnessy is a stand-up comedian who has made a name for herself across North America and now resides in the UK. Newly based in London Michelle is becoming a fan favourite all over the UK.

Michelle is also an accomplished writer and actor with credits that span commercial, variety, scripted and unscripted television.

Be one of the first to see Michelle in the UK before she’s all over TV. Hilarious! The ideal night out
— Katherine Ryan

Billed as “one of the country's top new comedy acts” by The York Press, Tadiwa Mahlunge has performed at, among others, the Latitude, Greenman, and Greenwich Comedy Festivals - alongside the biggest names in comedy - and has provided tour support for Kiri Pritchard-McLean and Jessica Fostekew, and TV warm up for Desiree Birch’s Amazon Prime special.

Remarkably confident, with a set as smooth as his shiny silk shirt
— ★★★★ Fest Mag

Matt Price has performed in 30 countries, including Turkey, Cambodia, Australia and Russia. He is a big friendly guy from Cornwall. He likes to tell stories, he tells jokes and interacts with a crowd in a way that makes everyone in the room feel good.

Matt's stories are from the wilder side of life but surprisingly easy to relate to.

criminally funny
— ★★★★ The Scotsman

A gifted performer, Chris Brooker has taken his unique mix of comedy and improvisation to stages all over the world. After a decade on the UK comedy circuit Chris has forged a fine reputation for himself as a stand-up comedian and compère. His versatility has seen him play to audiences of all sizes and backgrounds, winning them over with his infectious enthusiasm, swift wit and immense likeability. Dubbed comedy’s ginger Viking by a promoter, he really is a larger than life character.

Very funny, very quick… On the spot humour.
