We’ve got some BIG news to share...
We are now officially a registered charity! 🎉

Discarded Nut CIO - Charity Number 1208023 - went live on Tuesday 10th June, bringing together our three brands under one umbrella:

This milestone has been a long time coming, and we couldn’t have got here without you.

Whether you backed our Crowdfunder, came to an event, or cheered us on behind the scenes - you helped lay the foundations for this moment. Thank you 🖤

WHAT'S NEXT

We’re now working hard behind the scenes to get everything in place:

  • Opening our new charity bank account

  • Migrating all our old systems and data (holy moly what a massive task!)

  • Registering for Gift Aid (so your donations can go even further!)

  • Creating sponsorship packages for supporters and businesses

  • Finalising an exciting 2025/2026 season

  • Getting all season brochures together

  • Updating our website and communications

While we’re already operating day-to-day as a charity, our official launch will coincide with the new season this September.

OUR CHARITY MISSION

This new chapter is rooted in our mission to:

  • Inspire and challenge people with a passion for theatre at every stage of their lives from their first steps on stage to their first professional engagement.

  • Provide a vibrant, safe and welcoming venue facilitating high-quality opportunities for local creatives, young people, emerging talent and members of the community.

  • Produce work that gives our members and audiences thought-provoking and life-enhancing experiences.

  • Remove financial barriers to participation in high-quality culture and creative activity.
