DNYT MUSICALS

ACADEMIC YEARS 9+

INFORMATION

Our oldest DNYT musicals group offers our older company members the opportunity to perform some of the most trailblazing, thought-provoking and inspiring shows that have taken Broadway and the West End by storm. The company is a safe place for every person, whose individuality is not only celebrated but actively encouraged. Rehearsals are fun, but require hard-work and commitment, as our reputation for creating performances of the highest quality is excellent. However, you don’t need to be the very best at singing, dancing and acting as our company is made up of people with a shared passion and enthusiasm for musical theatre and live performance; if this is you, then you will be most welcome!

In Term One, you will work with the creative team to explore and develop performance techniques and skills in acting, singing and dancing allowing you to grow your creative confidence both as an individual performer as well as part of the wider company. At the end of Term One, auditions will be held for the upcoming musical for performance in July 2026.

Terms Two and Three will be spent in weekly rehearsals culminating in a public performance spanning four performances at our home, The Nutshell.

Outstanding performance of Spring Awakening; one of the most powerful pieces of theatre I have seen. So impressive and overwhelming. I am looking forward to more performances in the future.
